Business Development Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can really help expand the current customer base. The responsibilities have been described below:

  • Identify and approach new buyers and buying houses (in India and abroad)
  • Regularly travel to Delhi NCR to build relationships with all the buyers and merchandisers
  • Coordinate sampling efforts for buyers with the sampling team
  • Lead product development and work out costs based on client requirements
  • Meet and present to buyers at exhibitions and meetings
  • Stay updated with latest trends in the international textile industry
  • In-charge of pushing Suraaj’s products on B2B platforms like Alibaba
  • Role may require international traveling in the future
  • Stay up to date with international design trends in home textiles


  • Past experience working with buying agencies like Li & Fung, William E Connor, etc.
  • Good technical knowledge of textiles
  • Experience: At least 2 years in business development in home textile sector
  • Great communication skills, and fluency in English

Not mandatory, but helpful:

  • Experience using B2B platforms like Alibaba, Global Sources and IndiaMart
